The cathedral is located in the center of the city near the marketplace.  The 100 meter long Gothic building was built as a basilica around 1270.  The inner furnishings include the Gothic Cross Altar, a bronze baptismal font from 1325, a bronze epitaph of Peter Vischer the elder, the Triumphal Cross from 1420 and the Ladegast organ.
